Additec Mask Material
AddiSILK is a newly developed thermoplastic material that is manufactured in Plexiglas or Carbon Fibre form. Custom or standard shapes are available. Additec Mask Material allows longer moulding and reshaping time before hardening than any other thermoplastic material.
The mask material is very supple and can easily be fitted correctly to the contours of the patient's body. Once hardened, the mask remains solid, hard & stable for the duration of the patient's radiation treatment.
Due to the inner surface coating, Additec Mask material is soft and comfortable for the patient. It will not stick to the hair or skin, but will adhere to itself if required. The material can be remoulded by placing it in hot water or by using a hairdryer to reheat small sections of the mask.
AddiSILK is the ideal head/shoulder positioning mask because of to its ease of use, its ability to perfectly contour to the body, its comfortable fit and its ability to retain a rigid shape.
